Tag 26: Neuer Block, neues Glueck...

An dieser Stelle wieder mal Dank an Ralf, der uns zum Abholpreis von "nimm mit" mit einem Motorblock versorgt hat!!! Ein relativ verrotteter AB, aber vollstaendig in der Toleranz. Minimaler Lichtspalt, wenig Verschleiss in der Lagergasse erkennbar.  Fehlt also nur eine gruendlichste Reinigung der Innenseiten sowie aller Oelkanaele... anschliessend eine optische Auffrischung der Aussenseite. Zu dem Zwecke mal wieder dabei: Der einfach unschlagbare Drosselklappenreiniger von Liqui Moly... ein geiles Zeug. Anschliessend: Kleinkram... Pleuel wiegen und ausgleichen. Heimarbeit.

Day 26: With a new blog comes a new chance...

Big thanks to Ralf again, who provided us with a new engineblock for the price of "just take it with you"!!! It's a dilapidated AB, still absolutely within tolerance. Hardly noticeable wear in the bearing tunnel and a minimal light gap. All that is missing now is a thorough cleaning of the insides and the oil channels, afterwards an optical freshening-up  of the outside. At the ready: The absolutely unbeatable Liqui Moly throttle cleaner.... brilliant stuff. After that: Bits and pieces. Weighing and balancing of the connecting rod - home-work.
